Workflow Triggers and Definitions

Workflows can be triggered in three powerful ways:

  • New Member Joins Channel Automatically run a workflow when someone joins a specific channel — great for onboarding or nudging new participants.

  • Channel Meets Criteria (Preset) Trigger messages when you're added to new channels that match defined rules (e.g., name starts with proj-). Perfect for scaling communication across dynamic or auto-created channels.

  • On a Schedule Run workflows on a recurring or one-time basis. You choose the day(s), time, and timezone — ideal for weekly check-ins, reminders, or updates.
